ABOUT

"My paintings are figurative. What's most important in my work is the quality of the pictural material that I bring whenever I paint the wonderful complexity of the woman body. My large formats are made to reinvent the entire space of a place. My small formats are open windows on a more intimate universe".

Jean-Marc Comby is a painter from Bordeaux but was born in Cherbourg the march 28th in 1964. Between 1985 and 1990, he is attending to the Beaux Arts of Paris.

His workplace, in the Chartrons neighborhood in Bordeaux, is the place of an eclectic creation : painting, sculpture, engraving and drawing are growing together in an amazing harmony.
